Hi, all

I have configured a Web site on server 2003 standard edition. I have used
the default settings. When I access this web site from internet everything is
running OK & also that server but, when i open this site in LAN I get a window
and says "The server test.net at level_15 or view_access requires a username
and password. Warning: This server is requesting that your username and
password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure
connection)." It let me to input the username and password.afet i enter a
USername & password of server but that is not valid...

How do I modify the web site settings to access the web site without any
window?

Thank you!

IIS - directory security & virtual directory IIS if i set my login at anonymous logon (IIS), i can create folder under virtual directory by asp script. if i do not use my login as anonymous logon and use integrated windows security, my login is rejected to create folder under virtual directory. but i can do it if the folder is not under virtual directory or the virtual directory is local folder, not remote server. it seems the virtual directory at remote server do not accept the creditial info passed from IIS server i prefer but not success grateful for any help? Move Files IIS I am using FrontPage 2003. We created a file in one directory (Directory "Q") that contains all of our Forms. I then created a page in FrontPage that lists the forms and hyperlinks them to the "Q" directory. Now they have decided that they want the forms on Directory "I". If I move the file from "Q" Directory to "I" directory will all of my hyperlinks change or will I have to re-hyperlink everything all Client Discussions Expression Web (1) Designs (1) Spider (1) Aurora (1) Woman (1) Rowe (1) Directory (1) Xweb (1) Yes, FP should update the links as long as directory is part of the FP web that you have open, and you move the file
IIS virtual directory and WebDAV IIS WebDAV virtual directory is working fine if it's pointed to "a directory located on this computer" in IIS. But when I try to point the directory to directory but can't read any file, let alone write. So is WebDAV is good on local directory only? Any insight appreciated. We are using Win 2003 server IIS6. IIS 6 virtual directory question IIS I created a folder test under c: \ inetpub \ wwwroot and created a virual directory in IIS to use this folder. Under properties I expected to see Directory tab and it set to "the designated directory. But instead it shows Virtual Directory tab. And set to "a directory located on this computer". The local path is c: \ inetpub \ wwwroot \ test. I thought if folder is under the default web direcotry it will be automatically set to the designated directory. How the virtual directory can be created with "the designated directory" setting? Thanks. IIS Discussions IIsWebVirtualDir (1) IIS (1
