IIS - maximum worker process

hello,

for a server with 4 go of memory and multi core (4) xeon processor, what the
good value to set to maximum worker processes ? did i need to touch also cpu
affinity ?

There is no recommended "good value".

The default values should be sufficient for all users except for the
user who *knows* why they are not sufficient.

For example, Maximum Worker Processes does not improve performance. It
may improve availability of badly architected web applications. It can
also break stateful web applications.
